THE TECH2 GROUP

The Tech2 Group is a privately owned Australian group of companies including:

tech2home which is the exclusive national provider of Home Entertainment services for Harvey Norman. Services available (see Our Services) include the delivery and installation of flat panel TVs and home theatre systems.

Stream Communications, which has been in operation since 1998 and is currently the largest supplier of installers and service technicians to Optus on its broadband Cable network.

The founding partners remain with the company (see Our People).

Our Workforce

The Tech2 Group manages a technical field workforce in the Audio Visual, Telecommunications, Information Technology and related industries. Our tailored workforce management system (StreamLine) is specifically designed to ensure quality installation and maintenance services in the domestic sector. We have deployed a national workforce comprising over 250 fully equipped and trained technicians supported by dedicated Operations Centres and other support staff. All personnel are selected for both their technical and customer service skills to maintain quality of work and professionalism that reflect our values as we strive to exceed client expectations.

Quality and Occupational Health & Safety

All Tech2 Group entities are Quality Endorsed to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000.
All Tech2 Group entities are OHS Endorsed to AS/NZS 4801.

AS/NZS 4801 is the comprehensive Standard that encompasses the best elements of Quality and OHS management techniques already in use across Australia and New Zealand.

Certification to meet the requirements represents the highest publicly recognized levels of Quality and OHS achievement in our region.

These accreditations entitle us to display the “5 ticks of quality” logo and the “5 tick” OHS Standards Mark. Accreditation requires periodic independent inspection and assessment by SAI Global.

Proven Performance

The Tech2 Group has provided services to Optus since November 1998. Our continuing position as the largest domestic installation services contractor with Optus is testament to the quality of our service. We continue to play a key role in the deployment and growth of Optus local telephony, high speed data and pay TV services.

The Tech2 Group has also provided telephony and broadband services for Telstra and pay TV services for FOXTEL customers.

Work Practices

Our quality accredited Management System details relevant policies, practices and work procedures; these have been continually refined to capture best practice.

Our support staff include; workforce management staff responsible to ensure all appointments are satisfied, the administration team responsible for all job reconciliations, the warehouse team responsible for logistics management, and the quality control personnel who conduct field inspections.

The operations are directed by The Tech2 Group management team comprised of experienced project, technical and finance managers.
